Shipping and Delivery Policy

Orders usually take 2-6 business days to process and fulfill. All items are thoroughly checked before shipping by our staff in Violins and Such, backed by TEO Musical instruments, London, Ontario, Canada.

Standard shipping within Canada is FREE on purchases over 199.00 CAD. For purchases below and 198.99 CAD, shipping is calculated automatically by carrier. Standard Canada post-delivery will take 3-9 business days, depending on the product and supplier.
We are also offering faster shipment, for an adequate, shipping provider's price. Please inquire for a quote on sales@violinsandsuch.com.
Free in-store pick-ups are available for all online orders and will be ready for pickup once a "ready for pick-up" confirmation email is sent out.

Return and Refund Policy

We have the lowest prices on the market, considering that we do not stock, and we buy directly from our suppliers. That also means that we are following their specific return policies. 

Violins and Such have up to a 21-day return policy, which means you have, depending on the specific products' supplier's policy, up to 21 days after receiving your item to request a return.

 

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. We are giving our best to check twice and ship all the products as described, marked or advertised. If there is a mistake on our end, we will cover returning shipment. We offer returns only for defective, damaged or incorrectly sent products on our behalf. If anything happens in shipment, we will try to figure that out with the shipping provider, considering that the majority of products are shipped insured. All other returns can be subject to up to a 15% handling/restocking fee and must be in original condition. Any shipping or service fees in that case would not be refundable.

Every product's return period is directly affected by the wholesaler's, manufacturer’s or suppliers' return and refund program.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

  • All returns must be pre-authorized by our office.
  • If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as for instructions on how and where to send your package.
  • Products must be returned in original, re-saleable condition within 20 days of shipment.
  • Product returns must be shipped pre-paid, accompanied by our invoice.
  • Charges related to shipping & handling are not refundable, unless due to an error on our part.
  • Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as strings, rosin, instrument care products, chemicals, …), custom products (such as special orders, personalized items, prepared pegs, bridges…). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns of items on sale, as-is items, or gift cards.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

 

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded to your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
