Thomastik-Infeld Alphayue strings have a Steel spiral rope and solid carbon-steel core.

Sound is defined as warm and focused, and moderate projection.

  • All strings have a ball-end.
  • The Medium AL400 set contains the following strings:
    • A-Hydronalium/carbon-steel, D-Multi-alloy/carbon-steel, and G-, C- Tungsten/spiral core.
Available in sets and as individual strings in 4/4 and 3/4 sizes.
Strings are sold in sets or individually.

In 1919 luthier Dr. Franz Thomastik and engineer Otto Infeld made a revolution with the first ever replacement for gut strings, with steel core. Being innovative and following musicians needs, in 1970 yet a new revolution was made with introduction of Dominant violin strings, with perlon nylon, first ever synthetic core. These models are still a measuring mark-up for every other produced string on the market.
