Thomastik-Infeld Superflex strings have a steel rope core and chrome-steel wound.

Sound is defined as bright and complex, with rich overtones and powerful projection.

  • All strings have a ball-end.
  • The Long 4/4 set, Medium 42 contains the following strings:
    • G-, D-, A-, E- Chrome/Rope.
  • Additional strings:
    • C4(extended)- and C0(high) Chrome/Rope.
Also, available in medium tension set in 1/2 sizes.
Strings are sold in sets or individually.

In 1919 luthier Dr. Franz Thomastik and engineer Otto Infeld made a revolution with the first ever replacement for gut strings, with steel core. Being innovative and following musicians needs, in 1970 yet a new revolution was made with introduction of Dominant violin strings, with perlon nylon, first ever synthetic core. These models are still a measuring mark-up for every other produced string on the market.
