Thomastik-Infeld Spirocore Solo strings have a steel spiral core and chrome-steel wound.

Sound is defined as direct and focused, with very intensive projection.

  • All strings have a ball-end.
  • The Long 4/4 set, Medium S43, contains the following strings:
    • A-, E-, B-, F#-Chrome/Spiral.
Also, available in sets and as individual Medium tension strings in 3/4 size.
Strings are sold in sets or individually.

In 1919 luthier Dr. Franz Thomastik and engineer Otto Infeld made a revolution with the first ever replacement for gut strings, with steel core. Being innovative and following musicians needs, in 1970 yet a new revolution was made with introduction of Dominant violin strings, with perlon nylon, first ever synthetic core. These models are still a measuring mark-up for every other produced string on the market.
