Sound is defined as focused and brilliant, with moderate projection.

  • D-, G-, and C- strings have a ball-end, while A-strings have a removable ball-end.
  • The Medium VI200 set contains the following strings:
    • A-Chrome/carbon-steel, D-,G-Silver/synthetic, and C-Tungsten-Silver/synthetic.

In 1919 luthier Dr. Franz Thomastik and engineer Otto Infeld made a revolution with the first ever replacement for gut strings, with steel core.
