Thomastik-Infeld Vision strings have a synthetic core.

Sound is defined as focused and brilliant, with moderate projection.

  • A-, D-, and G-strings have a ball-end, while E- strings have a removable ball-end.
  • The standard VI100 set contains the following strings:
    • E- tin-plated carbon-steel, A-aluminum/synthetic, D- and G-silver/synthetic.
  • Variations are:
    • D-String in Aluminum/Synthetic for a warmer tone.

Available in 4/4, 7/8, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/10 and 1/16 sizes.

Strings are sold in sets or individually.

In 1919 luthier Dr. Franz Thomastik and engineer Otto Infeld made a revolution with the first ever replacement for gut strings, with steel core. Being innovative and following musicians needs, in 1970 yet a new revolution was made with introduction of Dominant violin strings, with perlon nylon, first ever synthetic core.
