Thomastik-Infeld Dominant PRO strings have a synthetic core.

Sound is defined as a great balance between warm and brilliant, complex with very intensive projection.

  • A-, D-, and G-strings have a ball-end, while E- strings have a removable ball-end.
  • The standard DP100 set contains the following strings:

    • E- tin-plated carbon-steel, A-, aluminum/synthetic, D- and G-silver/synthetic.

In 1919 luthier Dr. Franz Thomastik and engineer Otto Infeld made a revolution with the first ever replacement for gut strings, with steel core.
