Thomastik-Infeld Infeld Red strings have a composite synthetic core.

Sound is defined as dark and rounded, with powerful projection.

  • A-, D-, and G-strings have a ball-end, while E- strings have a removable ball-end.
  • The Medium IR100 set contains the following strings:
    • E- gold-plated carbon-steel core, A-, D-Hydronalium/composite and G-Silver/composite core.
Available in 4/4 size.

In 1919 luthier Dr. Franz Thomastik and engineer Otto Infeld made a revolution with the first ever replacement for gut strings, with steel core.
