Pirastro Tonica strings have a nylon synthetic core.

Sound is defined as bright, smooth with moderate projection.

  • A-, D-, and G-strings have a ball-end, while E- strings have a ball-end or loop-end.
  • The standard set contains the following strings:
    • E-silvery steel, A-aluminum, D- and G-silver.
  • Variations are:
    • E-Aluminum wound SET(Standard set with altered E string) for warmer sound than the standard SET. 
    • D-Aluminum for warmer sound than Silver.
Available in 4/4 size, E-silver medium sets and individual strings in 3/4 (fits also 1/2),1/4 (fits also 1/8) and 1/16 (fits also 1/32) sizes.
5 String set is standard set with added C-Silver-Tungsten string, only for 4/4;
