Thomastik-Infeld Alphayue strings have a synthetic core.

Sound is defined as brilliant and focused, with moderate projection.

  • D-, G-, and C- strings have a ball-end, while A-strings have a removable ball-end.
  • The Medium AL200 set contains the following strings:
    • A-Chrome/carbon-steel, D- Chrome/Synthetic, G-,C-Monel/synthetic.
Available in sets and as individual strings in 15" and 14" sizes.

In 1919 luthier Dr. Franz Thomastik and engineer Otto Infeld made a revolution with the first ever replacement for gut strings, with steel core. Being innovative and following musicians needs, in 1970 yet a new revolution was made with introduction of Dominant violin strings, with perlon nylon, first ever synthetic core. These models are still a measuring mark-up for every other produced string on the market.
