Pirastro Gold Label strings have a natural gut core.

Sound is defined as powerful projection, brilliant and bright.

  • D- and G-strings have a knot-end, A-strings have a ball-end, while E- strings have a ball-end or loop-end.
  • The Standard medium set contains the following strings:
    • E-steel(ball or loop), A-Aluminum 13 1/2 PM, D-Silver-Aluminum 16 3/4 PM and G-Silver 15 3/4 PM*.

    • E-steel comes in light, medium and strong tension.

Available in 4/4 size.

Strings sold in sets or individually.

*Pirastro gut string tensions are measured in units of PM

 (Pirastro Measurement) and refer to the diameter of the string. 1 PM = 0.05 mm, so gauge 14 PM = 0.7 mm diameter. The tension of the string varies by 3% for each gauge.
