Jargar Superior strings have carbon steel and steel rope core.

Sound is defined as warm and round, rich with overtones and powerful responses.

  • All strings have a ball-end.
  • The standard medium set contains the following strings: A- and D-Chrome/carbon-steel, and G- and C-Tungsten/Rope.
  • A- and D- strings come in 3 tensions, Medium, Light (Dolce) and Heavy (Forte).
  • G- and C- available only in the medium.
Available in 4/4 size.
Strings are sold in sets or individually.
Hand-made in Denmark.

In 1956, Jarl Hansen, Royal Danish Opera Orchestra cellist, developed a steel core based string, wound with thin threads of pure or alloyed metal. He started his own company, Jargar Strings, the very same year. These new strings had a warm and brilliant tone and furthermore much greater stability, durability, and strength than gut strings. That made handmade Jargar's highly popular throughout the classical music world.
