Thomastik-Infeld Peter Infeld Pi strings have a synthetic core.

Sound is defined as warm and complex with rich overtones, with very intensive projection.

  • D-, G-, and C- strings have a ball-end, while A-strings have a removable ball-end.
  • The Medium PI200 set contains the following strings:
    • A-Chrome/carbon-steel, D-Chrome/synthetic, G- and C-Silver/synthetic.

In 1919 luthier Dr. Franz Thomastik and engineer Otto Infeld made a revolution with the first ever replacement for gut strings, with steel core.
