Thomastik-Infeld Belcanto strings have a steel rope core and chrome-steel wound.

Sound is defined as smooth and direct, with powerful projection.

  • All strings have a ball-end.
  • The Medium BC600 set contains the following strings:
    • G-, D-, A-, E- Chrome/Rope.
  • Additional strings:
    • C4(extended)- and B5-Chrome/Rope.

In 1919 luthier Dr. Franz Thomastik and engineer Otto Infeld made a revolution with the first ever replacement for gut strings, with steel core.
